Working on my dual-disc conversion, purchased a set of Versa pads. This pad wasn’t just tight, it would not go in the caliper bore. So I removed metal using a stationary disc sander until I was happy with the fit. Then I beveled the edge to help prevent any binding due to a sharp edge, then sanded it all smooth. It will now get a coating of POR before installation. I have learned that without some kind of protection the pad backing plate will react with the aluminum bore. I also lok-tite’d the set screw in. I had one back itself out, locking up my front brake.
