I read he was the "architect"  of Rock and Roll.  A former co-worker was annoyed by him so we talked bout Little Richard a lot. That was probably 45+ years ago, I still remember annoying that guy by singing Good Golly Miss Molly!

Little Richard was one of a kind, and definitely an architect and originator of rock 'n' roll. Sad day.

Just watched another old clip of Lil Richard  from 65 or 70 years ago,  that was some wild stuff back then and even today.
Thanks for all the enjoyment Richard..

I didn't realize Little Richard had passed away, til I saw this. He was a big part, of the music, I have been big on, since back in the late 1950's. Lots of good times, back in those days, when that kind of music was "Out There". They ALL sure had their own style  &  Little Richard definitely had His. The old "Rock n Roll", has always put me in a mood, that takes me back in time.

I saw him play Sept 13, 1969 at the Toronto "Rock & Roll Revival", at the University of Toronto's Varsity Stadium.
That was a wild show with Gene Vincent (backed by the Alice Cooper band), Bo Diddley, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, John Lennon ("Plastic Ono Band" with John, Yoko, Eric Clapton, Alan White and Klaus Voorman), with The Doors headlining and closing the show. (probably other performers as well)
Security was ... porous, and I crawled under the stage to backstage. I spoke to Little Richard and Bo Diddley briefly before they cleared unauthorized people out of the backstage area.

RIP.
