Hi everyone I am a new member
Not actually purchased a cb 750 four yet.
I am doing my research first
Have not done a full restore. Yet! Had bikes for years. When I was younger I was always elbows deep in them. As I got older not so much. Now I want to get back in elbows deep again
Any pointers on what to look for when purchasing one appreciated. Or where to look on this site for articles to read
Cheers folks

Welcome from NE MN,

Word of mouth seems to be the place to find the best deals.  Don't be afraid of a bike that has not run for 20 years.  If it's engine is not frozen quite often you get it running by doing the basic maintenance.  Clean the carbs, new battery, clean the points, new spark plugs, and clean the tank.

I didn't own one when I started with this group either, no worries.

Look up the 'rebuild for dummies' threads for a good selection of what you can find when you crack a 750 open.

If you could buy a $20 fiber optic camera 12 years ago lots of cylinder heads that didn't leak would never have come off. If a head leaks oil chances are it's one of the 'rubber pucks' under the cam towers, no need to pull the head if there are no other leaks.
Budget for a 'frame kit' so you don't have to pull the engine for everything. And buy Hondaman's book, it's the how-to written by one of the master gurus and it'll tell you many secrets, the rest of the things you'll need to know aren't really secrets around here.

Welcome.
