Does anyone have any pointers on Pamco ignition. I tried following instructions but my parts don’t match as far as the coils. Both coils are yellow and black wires versus the old ones being blue yellow.

Do you have the old fuse box still in place? Common for these to get overheated and melt. Check the back of it. Hondaman makes a great replacement.

Took apart carbs to rebuild them. And I think I got over my head, plus being a few beers in didn’t help. So I’m going to start hunting for another bank of carbs and drop them off for rebuilding.

Dusterdude has a set of PD42Bs that I was gonna buy from him, but found a set of PD42As that I think I'm gonna go with instead. Shoot him a message - they were a good  deal.

Bought new copper gaskets and installed them.

Did you remove the old copper gaskets?

The little thin metal rings  that go around header with the flanged part against the header

On all of my K8's the flanged part of the "half moon" metal rings should be towards the outside so the outer compression collar has something to bear down against. The thin edge of the half moon metal rings will bear against the flange on the end of the pipe. This is true whether using the stock half moons or the thinner stamped half moon collars that typically are supplied with aftermarket pipes such as MAC headers.

The saga of the throttle cable linkage continues >:( >:( >:( >:(

There is slack in the black sleeve of the cable but it still seems too short to attach to carbs.

Yes, the flange goes to the engine. Orient them and dab a drop of anti siege on them to help hold them in place for the finned collar to slide over them. Keeps everything together while you wrestle the exhaust in place. Extra hands makes it much easier-

No. The half moon collars on the later CB750's are oriented with the flange away from the engine so the clamping collar has something to bear down against. The raw edge bears against the flange at the end of the pipe at the head. This is true for both stock collars as well as aftermarket.

After further investigation I found out the motorcycle shop ordered the wrong cables when I checked the part number on the cable. The cables they ordered were for a VT750 #facepalm

I’m trying to hook up my fuel line from carbs to petcock. I hook up to #1 fuel line and fuel pours out the bottom of carbs through overflow. I hook up to #2 fuel line and it’s like carb aren’t getting fuel. Excuse my ignorance but I don’t know what is wrong.

#1 is the vent that is shared between all carbs and has no means to stop the fuel flow so all carbs will overflow if you are delivering fuel into the carbs through this vent. #2 is the connection for the fuel line. PD carbs are the easiest to perform the "clear tube test" to verify float height and that each bowl is filling properly.
