I been kicking this around a while, I really like the 750 choppers, but I have back problems.
In 77 or so I spent the money and got a new Savior , and it was good and Ihad it till  83 or so.
At that time I was considering the new Santee swingarm frame, but I got an Amen and was happy.
Flash forward to around 2018  I get another Savior frame , but it was rough,  and last  spring I got a Amen rigid.
And I love the rigid look but it would be a bad idea , and then when I looked at the pics of both frames I started thinking... see pics below.
As you can see  Amen made at least a prototype , but they closed shop around that time, and I have never seen or heard of any of them..

I was thinking , cut the back off the Amen rigid, and make it a lot like the Amen prototype.
I don't care for the big rounded bend below the seat on the Santee, and I like the Amen oil bucket and the rear engine mounts. And I think theSantee has more up and out stretch on the front, it almost looks like more rake... maybe not but if the neck is higher I can't run short forks and the bike will be slammed.
I figure with the swingarm it gives me a lot of choices, i dont need long travel, infact may shorten travel, but it has to be more tunablevthan the Savior which has no damping.
If anyone has had or ridden a Santee swinger , tell us your thoughts.
If anyone has ever sen, heard of or heard someone telling lies about the Amen swinger, I want to hear about it.
I want something a bit like in the pics but with a swingarm

So basically I want to try this , but honestly may need a bit of help.
I can probably do most of it when I get my shop running soon, but may need help like tube bending, I can supply templates.
I need to know if others are interested, and want to convert theirs as well.
Once the tubes are bent , swingarm mounts fabbed, and fender rails burned or milled, it's don to wielding and a few other bits.
Honestly it's way less of an effort than a frame or maybe a front end, probably equal to, or less work than a hardtail.
So if any of you like the idea of an 80 mile a day chopper, or something a bit different,  tell me what you think..
Some of us are getting a bit old to keep beating ourselves up on a regular chopper.
