My Mikuni flatslide carbs have too short twist. Full throttle in just under 1/4 turn is too quick, especially on 1st gear when taking off.
Steady hand not twisting too much to avoid jerky ride. Sneeze and a wheelie!!
I had the same issue with the Webers; the initial opening was too fast, so I cut the bottom of the groove in the tube into a more progressive "ramp".
OK, smaller diameter like gearing down with front sprocket.
I let my Demel to eat some white nylon in the first half part of the pull side (front), not much difference. It grinded quick!!
Hopefully an improvement. I did not grind the hole for "wire end button" oval making it closer to the bar.
The other way adding material might give a bigger difference.
Return springs must be easier to find where selling standard springs for small money.
My TMR carbs have a very light action and very snappy return.
How throttle cables are routed more important with weaker spring. Let go of the grip, spring should return throttles to idle or at least very near.
