Hi there,
I’ve searched through this forum (as well as others) but none of the solutions found have worked. I have a 1980 CB650C and cannot get enough slack on the cam chain to pull it and the sprocket up on to the shoulder of the camshaft . The tensioner is lifted and pushed back as far as can be and then tightened. And the engine is on the T mark which offers the most amount of slack. The engine also advances freely manually (it’s off the bike right now). I don’t really want to go back in to pull the tensioner off completely or throw money at a shop to do something about it so, any ideas about what I’m missing? I’m literally a hair off and it’s really frustrating. Thanks.
