78 750 K8 Carb hose
« on: May 16, 2007, 04:44:28 PM »
Hi all, so far I have the carbs cleaned and ready to put back on.  Got the slow jets off and all looks good thanks to previous advice.  I did what I did not want to do, forgot where something goes, lol   I have a small hose coming straight up from #2 fuel rail with a bracket on it to bolt on somewhere. For the life of me I can not remember where the other end of the hose goes or where the bracket mounts.  Would someone happen to know what it is and where it goes?  Thanks for a super site for advice and information.  Jerry

Sounds like the vent hose. It attaches to the top of the air cleaner box.

Photo is a good idea.  I will have to borrow a digital camera and put up a pic.  No, it is not the large hose to the top of the airbox. It is a small hose coming off the carb#2 next to the main fuel intake hose from the tank.  Will try to post a picture tomorrow.

I repeat my answer. ;) There is a vent hose for the carbs that comes up next to the #2 carb. The bracket attaches on top of the airbox next to the breather hose and hangs down the backside of it.

Yeah vent for sure. Only 2 hoses from the carbs, fuel and vent.

Hi Mike, you are absolutely right.  I thought you meant the large hose connector on top of the air box. I now see where I need to attach it. Again, one of those things I should have written down when taking it off.  Thanks again.  I will let everyone know how everything goes after I fire it up.

Well it is no big deal. It just sits there pretty much.
