After a long hiatus, I have finally started again on my CB project after several years of benign neglect in the back of the garage. I am hoping that Marcel is still available to rebuild the speedo, in a box unsent, awaiting shipment to him from 8 years ago. If not, is there anyone in the states doing this work? Thanks for any help...glad to be back!

+1 to the no skateboard/caterpillar seat! How much did the spin on oil filter increase your oil capacity? Buddy of mine did that to his CX500 and it increased it by like 3/4 of a quart. Looks silly on his bike but doesn't look awful on yours!

Glad to see the 750 again! Marcell is still doing gauges and is bigger than ever now. What else is the bike needing?

Alternatively, I highly recommend Buz Ras aka Seattle Speedometer
Buz can rebuild any automotive gauge with precision.  If you like, he can customize your gauge, too.

Marcel is very good but shipping to Europe from U.S. has become very expensive.
He did the gauges for my upcoming K1 project.

Hello and thanks all, and hello to my friend and fellow NE Honda Guys member, Andy750. I contacted a US based fellow...there are certainly many more mechanical instrument rebuilding places now than when I last looked!

Andy, I am still tuning a bit, but she ran strong after I gave the carbs some love yesterday. Running at about 140f yesterday at the drain plug sensor. I may need to install a bypass for the oil cooler, am monitoring..I have yet to fab a housing and install idiot lights. As well I might shorten the Racetech preload slugs in the front suspension, as I was a bit heavier when I made them. Aside from an oil change, which now takes about a quart more than stock, and valve check...think I am all set.

Good to hear from you Brother, I've been toying with a K8 for a little while, waiting on parts right now. Its sure easier than carrying my K3 out of the basement where we left it.

Thanks, I'll let you know. I'm back to work this week so will be losing momentum on the build. Fingers crossed I can find some time to spend doing what I can.

Randy recently helped me out with a DOHC 900F gauge  repair and a early model CB750 gauge repair

Would love to go for a ride with you, and you're always welcome here. I am back to bike work after a number of years off, although I get sidetracked with other projects...now excavating for a steel 24x24 garage for yard equipment.
I have a bunch of other cool projects that I have started working on again, the srx-6 that Anders and I picked up a few years back, my FJ which now has updated and not yet functional carbs, and a few I have not yet touched...a tx650 that hopefully looks new OEM, the RZ350 that I still haven't got tuned right, an r1100s in pieces, and the sv650. So hands full!! Best wishes to you, and look forward to meeting up!
