Brake upgrade?

Anyone here upgrade your CB with a early 70s brembo 2piston caliper without swapping to a cast iron disc? I want a "rust free" disc (that looks from early the era) while getting some better performance without a dual disc conversion. Just checking if there is any point in doing it.

This is for a 500, correct? If so, a larger 750 rotor will bolt right onto the wheel, and the later 750s used a larger 42.8mm piston than the 38mm pistons on earlier 750 and 500/550 in the caliper. The rotor and caliper look the same as your 500 parts, only larger.

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

What won't fit to the 500 sliders? The 750K caliper mounts from '73 forward are the same as the 500/550, as well as the 350/400.

 I tank the swing bracket angles up more on the 750, would have to hold one over the other to confirm..

No, the mount holes are the same distance from the axle. Like Frank said, the 750 bracket puts the caliper further from the axle to fit the larger rotor. You could use a 500 rotor and caliper on a 750 if you wanted, you just have to mate the rotor to the caliper: 500/550 to 500/550, or 750 to 750.
