Tomatic CB750 with sidecar
« on: June 17, 2020, 01:36:57 am »
Yesterday I made a trip Porvoo-Sipoo-Vantaa-Espoo-Porvoo on 30-80 km/h roads with my original Honda CB750A and rather heavy sidecar Partly cloudy, no rain and +23 degrees Celcius.
Fuel consumption 13,5 litres, distance 204,5 km, max speed 91 km/h, average speed 55 km/h and average consumption 6,6 litres/km. Not so bad with a empty sidecar.
The engine is very "cold blooded", have to use choke the first 3-4 minutes. Converter is clinking and clanking at idle because of broken damping springs.
It is going to be a rather nice summer.

Looks like you are having some nice riding weather.  I was in Helsinki exactly one year ago and it was sunny and quite warm.

That looks like a very comfortable chair.  8)
How does the rig handle ?
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
I love the small ones too !
