I have a couple of SL175's and a CH150 left to restore. The CH150 ran when I put it up this winter, but after cleaning the carb, new battery, still won't start.
Has spark. Even w/ dumping starter fluid in carb, no go. ???? I'm at a lost.

Michel,
I've worked on those Honda CH150 scooters before, watercooled. The first thing I would do now, after you've checked for spark, completely cleaned all(including remove the pilot jet and clean it)passages in the carb.,check and adjust the valve clearances(.002" I think, check the sticker on the frame)as those get fairly hot and the valves can stick open a bit, etc.

Ok, I haven't checked the valve clearances....at this point I'll try anything. I'm thinking the gas lines are improperly set. Michel

You mean the vacuum petcock? Yeah, would suck if someone hooked up the fuel line to the intake manifold vacuum port.

Try running a points file thru the points. They sometimes (often) rusted on the older bikes that did not have tungsten points. They often had simple steel contacts.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.
