Petcock, brass nipple pulled out
« on: June 21, 2020, 12:07:11 PM »
I went to pull off the gas hose to remove my fuel tank and one of the brass nipples that the gas hose slides on to came out of the petcock.  I know the brass is pressed into aluminum, and I thought someone said that Honda had some type of epoxy or adhesive to glue in the brass overflow tubes in fuel bowl, and assume it would be the same for petcock.  Does anyone know what the best product would be?  I don't want to deal with this coming off every time I want to remove my fuel tank.

Its happened to me before also. I just tap them back in as it seems to be a good interference fit. JB Weld I guess would be an option if you don't overdue it or a gas resistant adhesive I use sometimes on things called Seal-All.
