hole blocked on cb750 K7 carburetor
« on: June 28, 2020, 03:09:02 AM »
Hello all.
I was refurbishing the carburetors on my CB750 K7, and I noticed that the hole for the pilot screw on one of then (#2) had been blocked by the little pin at the end of the pilot screw, which got broken and it is blocking the hole. The same happened on #3, but I was able to remove it with a needle from inside. The fact is that the other one is blocking the hole and I don't know how to remove it. Any ideas? I have another set of carburettors but they are PD41BB, and the ones in my K7 are PD41AA, so I think that the bodies are not interchangeable.

Tape a tube on a vacuĆ¼m cleaner and suck it out.

The problem is that is really stuck in. I've tried to remove it with a 0.4 mm needle on a pliers from inside the carb throath and I couldn't remove, so I don't think that a vacuum would suck it. Anyway, I will give it a chance. Thanks.

Was the needle pointed like a sewing needle? A blunt or flat tip might work better?
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!
