CB500t starter solenoid
« on: July 01, 2020, 09:02:23 PM »
So the other day in changing up my rear turn signals and accidentally touched the ground to one of the fuses. thankfully only that ground wire sparked and caught fire but spared the bike and everything else from what I can see. I have since replaced this ground.

But in the panic, I pulled out a few wires and now I'm not sure where they go. the wires in question are for the starter solenoid, being paranoid/cautious about wiring it wrong.

the two red wires were in a black sleeve connected to the plug in pin with butt connectors. one of them seem to be connected to the starter solenoid (can someone confirm that?), where should the other wire go?

Picture below for two wires in question.

Never seen anything like that before, you will have to get a proper wiring diagram and trace every wire im afraid

Here's what my 500T looks like.

the black wire housing with the red end, has the two wires in asking about, where is that connected to?
To me it looks like a two pin plug and it's connected to the same end on the starter solenoid?

Yeah connect that to your solenoid with the wire that goes to the positive on the battery.
