project is finished cb750k5

my project is done and i took my first test ride today after 18 months on/off fixing her up.  it hadnt run in 20 years.  i did all the work myself except for the carbs..i had a professional rebuild them.  i will try to post a pic of when i got it and of now. thanks to this site for many answers.

my attempt was to update the looks of it and not stray too far from original.  i changed the exhaust and bars turn signals and spedo/tach but everything else is the original.  i used the orig seat-pan and tried to modernize the seat style..i sandblasted most of the chrome parts and painted them along with the frame.  i painted the tank my version of flake sunrise orange..rebuilt the front forks and rear swingarm.  new front rear hubs.  didnt rebuild the engine just put some new gaskets and adjusted the valves. points plugs etc. put a new harness in it and not too happy with the quality though. anyway it  it runs real good.

Paint looks good, what did you use for "your version"?  Stuff's expensive even just buying the materials.

Where did you get the wiring harness from and what don't you like about it?

i used SEM candy concentrate..mandarin color over SEM silver flake. the challenge is knowing when to stop as the color gets darker each coat. it actually wasnt too expensive.

a few of the color coded wires in the harness were different than the oem harness as well as the wiring schematic
