CB550 chain
« on: July 06, 2020, 08:21:42 PM »
Hi all,
I have just converted my 550K0 back to standard (17\35) gearing and as a consequence my chain is too short. It looks reasonably new, so don't want to chuck it. Is it ok to run two joiner links or should\can I get the chain extended with permanent links?
Thanks,
Kevin

Not advisable, different makes use different internal dimensions. Width and distance between pins is a standard but nothing else is

I think 17/37 is standard.
