How would I remedy that? Buying a smaller wheel?

A lower profile tire;is that tire what they run on the DOHC donor bike front ?
The DOHC runs a 100/100 19" it seems

Look at the tire for signs of rubbing, like shiny areas. Pay attention to the sides where the fender stays are.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

I am! My cheap Chinese perch will live to see another day! Haha.

While you're here I should ask, when I pull the front brake, it sorta pulses? Is that a warped rotor? It stops fine but I can feel the lever sorta moving in my hand.

Brake action is smooth though. Braking power doesn't pulse

Could be a warped rotor, or maybe it's from the tire rubbing? ???

I'd say your single disk is not strong enough

It's gotta be one or the other I guess. Maybe some day I'll do a front end swap from a 750F so I can go dual disk. For now at least I have some things to check. I'll use an index like a paper clip taped to the fork to try to gauge if the rotor is wobbly. And try to inspect for rub marks. I'll update!

If your bike had duel discs it's for a reason my friend I'm a bit stuck trying to find duel discs in UK for the front end of mine the problem is the bolts go through the wheel and hold both discs togeether I can find single disc in UK burn it not go intnl to be strong enough

My bike is a K to begin with so it never had dual disks. Would certainly be nice if it did though. Hope you find some on your quest! If I liked the way it looked and didn't care about period correctness, I'd do the GSX front swap I've seen folks do lol

It might not even be your brakes tbh you might not have a proper seal on your manifold

I just installed a delkevic 4into1 with new gaskets. I guess its possible I messed up but I don't feel any puffs of exhaust by the head. Also the black powder just brushes off. It doesn't smear which I guess now that I think about it, should have tipped me off to it being rubber not brakes.

Post a pic of your Frankenstein!
