Rolling resto as is, and enjoy the ride. Sell that early engine later when it's running sweetly and fit the correct engine to your bike on the same day.

If its an early sandcast engine and your not into those I would sell it and you would probably have enough money to buy another engine and another bike also to play with. Some value also in a K0 engine to the right guy looking for a certain serial number range. Any evidence its ever been repaired around the countershaft sprocket area ?

The F2 engine was the most powerful, but has a design flaw. The K0 engine is the next hottest, so a good replacement. However as Frank and Eric mentioned, if the serial number is early enough, about 7400 or less, and the case is original, the engine alone is worth the cost of super clean F bike or a solid runner K6 or earlier.

Are you sure the number is not 1007706 instead of 1107706. Not really a 110 prefix out there. 7706 would be a good thing.
