Any member with 1960s Honda C100?

Would like to save this one 1965 C100. Need help with certain info and parts. Would be great to find someone who has worked on one.

What's the problem, other than the missing leg guard? Really simple engine, super reliable. Brakes are puny but they work. Rocker forks work ok but limited travel.
No idea on parts availability but Honda made millions of Cubs, should still be some parts for the pushrod ones.
I had a 65 and took it apart several times.

I have the leg shields which are super clean. It’s the kickstart spindle that broke off right at splines, flat with cover. Can’t put a pedal on. Was hoping to find a spindle to make it rideable

That changed a few times in production. CMSNL has most types but expensive as always. Look up the part number there for your engine number and search for it, there may be luck on ebay?

I think all the early push rod 50s used the same shaft.  Look up the part number and I bet C100-C115  will be the same.  This was a very common problem, happened to my C110 in the 60s.  I recently purchased a C110 motor with the same issue.  I found a NOS shaft on EBay.

I have a c100 with a broken kick spindle, I just bump start it. they motor is so small you can actually do with your hand lol
