where do I post a ? about a 1976 vs 1978 cb750

HI,
can't figure out where on the site I'm supposed to ask the above question
Laugh at least once a day.
Life  $ucks, then you die.
You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.
God forces us to live with  non-believers to test our resolve.

No I'm not actually trying to be funny, I meant the SOHC4 bikes general section.

I guess I misunderstood the question as trying to discern the differences between K6 and k8.

Different triple tree offset, different neck angle.
Different oil tank, fuel tank and side covers.
Wider swingarm, due to the change to a 630 chain 10mm was added to the sprocket carrer, left side of the swingarm is bumped out and the top left shock mount too.
Passenger peg mounts look different.
Seat hinges are different and are on the left side, seat lock on right side.
PD carbs.
Water separator was added to the crankcase vent system.

Or do you mean engine differences?
Other than internal changes which are many and minor,
I understand you can bolt a K8 engine into any frame but the output shaft on the front sprocket will be too long and can be swapped out for the earlier shorter shaft. After that I think it's all plug and play.

I hope some of this helps, sorry for the bad first answer.

Alan..... pretty much covered it. 17” rear rim. The tank and seat are different too. The K7/8 don’t get a lot of love, but to my mind, great looking machines, that ride just like the earlier bikes.

This is the section you would use for any questions about SOHC4 bikes.
