The right side is fully machined, but to a different height of the caliper mounting bosses than the left. If the forks are reversed to position the calipers behind, the right side lower 8mm boss, or the head of the pivot pin need to have about 3mm removed. See reply #17.

I am in the middle of upgrading my 74 CB550K1 to dual discs.  Buying the hardware now. The LH disc has been removed, a second disc purchased on ebay.  Both sent to TruediscLLC to be drilled and ground.  Tom at Truedisc did my CB350/4 disc and it turned out great.

I bought a used caliper and mounting hardware on ebay as well, but the caliper was unusable.  Purchased a reproduction caliper from ebay, it arrived but it was unusable as the holes for the caliper bolts had not been drilled out....

...great QC there....

Another caliper is on the way.
