40C must be non riding temperature, poor bike!
I and a friend hired an open beachbuggy on the Greek island Rhodes for many summers ago.
Faster we drove, hotter it became. No cooling wind, like a heatgun. That was only around 36C.
Edit: It must have been around 40C. I remember other holidays in Greece and Spain when the termometers went crazy up to 45-47C.

Yeah mate, when “Black Saturday “ bushfires hit in 2009 it was 48 deg C, and the place just exploded. 200 killed, and thousands of homes destroyed. I was in my steel garage (machining up oil cooler adapters, ironically) and came inside when it got to 45. Last Christmas was the dame, it seemed like the whole country was on fire, but that was all forgotten about when Covid happened....
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Even the aircons will suffer at those temperatures, right? ;D

Yeah mate, quite often the transformers at the local electricity plant explode when everyone turns their aircon on, at the same time, and we have no electricity for hours. I have a couple of generators so at least I can watch TV with a cold Ginger beer and the fan on, when this happens. ;D

Yesterday, carefully.  We got 2" of rain on the 24th, it froze solid on the 25th.  There were still frozen puddles here and there all over our county, but I had to do test ride.

Today, took the 350F around for a spin. Ran out of gas. Completely embarrassing but I forgot I had it on reserve on the last ride, two weeks ago. And here in Mexico there's no self serve gas so I buy it at 100 pesos at a time, never filling up and thus the trip odometer doesn't do much good. half a kilometer downhill, then half a kilometer uphill, and I was back on the road albeit sweating.

Yesterday, rode my K2 Bitsa with it’s “New” POS engine and decided that I’ll pull it out and rebuild it, then took my K0 for a much more enjoyable ride. Lining up in a mile long queue at the DMV to get a “Club Permit” red plate for the K0 to make it legal after some plate swapping between it and the K2 so I could get some rides in after the build. ;D

Had a long shift at work, needed some therapy. 60 degree day here in Vegas, just got back from riding a bit over 100 miles. Got all that old fuel outta there! She's running so good!

So you survived your 3 day lockdown Ken? Well done! Although I think drunken photography is probably still a crime in Queensland? Looks good! ;D

Sure did survive. After I fueled up the red bike today near home.  I went to put on my mask and the elastic earhole thing broke. Wasn't sure what to do as I had to go in and pay. I waited till I was the last customer and told the cashier what happened. He let me in to pay my $9 and while he had a mask on reckons it was bull#$%*. I tended to agree. Locked down 2 million people for 1 case. Such is life.

I have an update!
I have taken the A for it's first run. So I've broken my duck.

Yep got admit I'm pretty pleased with myself.
Still quite a bit of work to get it up to scratch but I hope to have it finished by November.

Cheers,
Brian

Cruising around on a bike is like meditation!
But do not relax too much though. Twist the throttle time to time and enjoy the adrenaline rush!

Jealous! Another snow dump here today. The snow berms on either side of my driveway are getting pretty high. May have to get the old Massey out and blow them into the fields!

Heathcote Bakery pie run day today, another 140 miles on the ol' K0, not as warm as I'd have liked, but no bushfires like this time last year, so no complaints. I gave it an oil and filter change at 925 miles last Wednesday, and it's loving the new Penrite semi-synthetic 15W-50. What a great day! ;D

Thanks Trevor, yep I ratted thru my wardrobe and found a brand new pair of "Made in the USA" "Redwing" boots. The red ones were OK, but not real comfortable to walk in, so they've gone back in the wardrobe, and the Redwings are my new favourites. ;D
