Your F2 look really good, Terry!
For me you are the restorer of the year!

Sudden blown fuses have been wirings in-out from the handle bar switches on my bike in the 80's.

I had sudden main fuse blow out due to an aftermarket brake switch connector the first year of bike comeback 2014.

The clear insulation covering the bullet plug had loosen up, glided away and plug not isolated. Fuse blew when using rear brake and plug happened to have contact with bolt or engine.

Thanks Per, as much as I've hated the last 8 months of CV-19 lockdown, I've certainly gotten a lot of bike stuff done. The K0 is on target, should be on it's wheels by the end of the week, and maybe riding it by the week after? Fingers crossed......... ;D

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Almost 60 here in central Ohio yesterday....  Put on 50+ easy miles on some local state routes.  Won't be too many more years until we have Carolina type winter here.  Lol

Nice bike Steve, sure someone will enjoy it and not have to be a wrench. Looked like it was set-up well. I assume you still have some more in the stable ?

No..... no more SOHC's, just a 2003 Goldwing.  I do miss that Cafe bike, and wish I had the current owners' info, but alas.  The guy that bought it is (was) from Chicago, so who knows where it's at now.  If anyone has seen it around, let me know.  I now live in AZ, and ride pretty much all year long, limited in the summer of course, but now in December, we just went for a ride to watch the Arizona sunsets which are awesome.

Yesterday, I took my K2 bitsa for a quick lap around the block to test my new cast iron drilled disc. Obviously it'll need a much longer ride to bed the pads into the new disc, but it did seem to work very well. ;D

Ha ha, I'll take that as a compliment guys, anyone can build an original (yawn.......) bike, but I wanted to capture the style of the 1970's, I was there then, and this bike would have been the coolest "Fat 4" on the block, back in the day...... ;D

Women are different and need sometimes to argue just to make their man upset.

Ha ha, well she did a good job Per, but it probably didn't help when I told her to fcuk off.......... ;D

Oh god, my last ride was Nov 22nd . Unless there will be sunny weather that will dry roads I'll not ride before salt is gone from the roads here. Since 3 weeks now just low clouds, fog, humid.. All except sun here

This was the worst part of the 2.5 years I spent in the Northeast. Parking my bikes, old truck, and old car from basically November until March or April (when the rain washed the salt off the roads). Quite a change from AZ...

The day before it started snowing. Then it got cold. I had just modified my boots for better leverage on my shifter (I have short feet), only got to ride with them once this year.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Blood is thicker than water, but motor oil is thicker yet...so, don't mess with my SOHC4, or I might have to hurt you.

October 23 last time on the blue K6. Next time March 23 if lucky!
Time between, wrenching time!! ;D
Snow and cold can have a comeback in early April for a few days.

My brown K2 is ready for a ride. Hopefully in last week of March as the last 2 years.

Salt is a plague, road dirt with salt sticks hard to frame and engine.
Not only quick rust everywhere metal is bare and chrome is scuffed off.

All batteries need to be maintained. Charging 48 hours once a month. The weaker old batteries used whith timing lamp not to be forgotten.

Bugger that Per, as much as I'm sure Sweden is beautiful, only 6(?) months of riding each year sucks balls. I bought some really good used wet weather gear this year, and if it wasn't for Covid-19 shutting down my riding for so many months, I would have done a lot more riding. The biggest problem I have is days that are so hot that I'm tempted not to wear proper protective gear, and the last thing I need right now is more hospital time. ;D

Terry, here is the limitation frosty roads and in the end sandy roads to watch out for. Anti ice sand usually removed in April.

7 months from end of March. April-October.

Hottest weather around 30-32C a few days. 2019 got more of that.
It feels better after 100kmh. I have a thinner jacket with ventilation holes and zippers front and back. I need to reduce food to use it again.

Henry Cole in World's greatest motorcycle rides used a mesh jacket with hard covers for elbows and shoulders when riding in south, southeast Australia.

I use flip-helmet that can be opened direct when parked the few days when temp enter 30C area.

I should never ride without protective clothing, helmet, gloves and boots.

Thanks Per, over here in summer the low 30's are very pleasant, when it gets into the mid to high 40's, not so much fun. When I was big and fat I bought a Triumph mesh jacket one day when I was waiting for my Rocket III to be dyno'd, it's really loose now, and probably useless if I go for a slide, but I still wear it on really hot days, as it's not as unpleasant as my 30 year old leather jacket that I normally wear on dry days.

The wet weather gear is great on wet days, as long as it's not hot, otherwise it's like riding in a sauna. Surprisingly this week is going to be mild (low 20's most days) but I'm gonna be too busy cleaning up my mess from a year of bike building and a ton of yard work to take advantage of perfect riding weather, which pisses me off. No matter, as long as I get 20 rides in by December 31st, I'll be happy! ;D
