Anyone used 400F repop airbox - is it softer?
« on: May 18, 2024, 11:38:39 AM »
I see there is a replacement available and they say "if yours is hardened from age replace it." Well it is hard and that's part of why it's so hard to get on. I was wondering if anyone has bought a new one and if it was actually softer, and made it easier to install? There's nothing wrong with mine aside from being hard as a rock.

My rubber intakes are still nice and soft though.

the box is supposed to be hard, only the rubbers are pliable

Maybe "hard" = "brittle" as these definitely get brittle. Not a bad price though. especially if it comes with the rubber mounts.

Yeah, I'm guessing my airbox is the normal hardness then. Oh well, it was a nice idea.
