Just what it says. Installing a Caswell kit on an early CB750 K tank that has 3 holes for the petcock (2 for screws, 1 for the tubes). You have to rinse the tank with acetone to eliminate any residual petroleum. In the past I've sealed up the petcock BUNG with a rubber stopper, but I'm not sure how to seal the other style of petcock holes for the acetone rinse. Don't want to mess up my paint!! Any tips?
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

I've used a rectangular piece of rubber (about 3-4mm thick) with a metal plate over the top to make sure it seals all the way around. Drill holes through the rubber and plate and use some old bolts to attach it with the threaded tank holes. Never had any leaks.

Bingo - same here. I use a piece of old rubber inner tube with a metal plate and two bolts. Earlier at one time I just used a thin piece of oak wood that was laying around cause I am  "woodie' also.  Rubber plumbers expandable bung/plug for the filler hole.
