I've got some old, lightly pitted chrome and I've taken #0000 fine steel wool and polished it on my bike.I want to park it outside here and use the bike for a daily driver, drive through the rain, etc. What's a very protective type of wax to use that I can apply regularly that will help keep it from rusting too fast ?

  • To many bikes-but lookin' for more
I've been pulling some bikes out of storage and getting them going and cleaning them up real well. I just go old school and use Turtle Wax and elbow grease.

Best thing you could do is buy a decent cover as well. I cringe whenever I go by a cool old bike sitting in the rain without a cover.

it's from valvoline, and the clear version is called "tectyl glashelder" over here.
