Topic: 79 CB650 Cafe Project Exhaust

Hi yall
So I have a 79 CB650 cafe project. i will post pics soon. I have a question about the exhaust. I am looking for a new system. I want the 4-1 headers to single muffler, something like this. see image or link below. will this fit my 650 exhaust ports? what about headers of a 750? will they header fit my 650 ? the one system which i want from MAC is not available so i need to get something else. they all look same,. but not sure about the diameter of the pipe on header

That header is for an 83-85 which is an entirely different engine. I'm doubtful of a 750 header fitting a 650, but possibly 500/550 stuff will fit, try the forum search and read up.

Check out Ripple Rock Racers. Me and a few other guys have that on our 650’s. Really nice stainless exhaust. They’re from Canada so the price you see is Canadian pesos. I just priced an exhaust to be $750CAD = $560USD.

As stated above on budget $600 USD  is not really budget friendly.  thank you for insight though

You didn’t post anything about a budget. I still recommend the RRR exhaust. Very light weight, uses springs for installation so you can easily remove and disassemble exhaust without needing to use new crush washers and also allows for an oil/filter change with out removal. Good luck on the search.
