New SOHC750 owner in Maryland
« on: February 13, 2007, 08:05:50 PM »
Hey everyone,
I just wandered over here from the HondaChopper forum.  I've got a few old bikes.  My first bike was a '74 CL200 when I was 11 (I'm only 21 now, so it wasn't that long ago).  I didn't realize that it was only made one year and I rode it into a tree   :'(.  I've still got it, and I rounded up a CB200 donor to restore it, but I haven't had the time yet.  I've got a 73 CB350 that I'm not sure what to do with.  And, my current bike project is a CB750A that I am putting into an Amen Savior chopper frame.  I love working on bikes and cars (bikes are easier  ;D, so I get them done faster).  My cushy ride right now is a 2000 Magna, but if the chop is a success I'll prolly offload it this season to start another project.  I get outta college this spring with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, so this kinda stuff is expected of me.

Welcome.!
The AMEN cycle frame must be from the 70's.?

Check out the CYCLE-X website for interesting 750 Four mods for choppers and drag bikes.

Welcome and where are you at in Maryland? I use to to live at Point Lookout. I still have family friends there.

The frame is definitely from the 70's.  I'm gonna be going for a very 70's look with a big K/Q seat and flat fender and everything.

I'm from Damascus, MD which is about 15 miles NW of DC.  Not sure where Point Lookout is.

JLeather just look where the Potomac and the Chesapeake come together. I  believe it is a State Park now. It was a great place when I lived there in the 60's. Dannie
