So I have a ricks motorsports 10-100 rec/reg on my cb350f and a wps 490-2524 lithium battery.  Now just through random browsing I found that ricks motorsports now makes the rec/reg for lithium batteries which basically drops the voltage to the battery by 1/2 volt.

Now this is where it gets a little hairy cause the stock stator on the little cb's stink in general but the last thing I want to do is blow the battery, but if the stock stator isn't putting out voltage high enough that it needs that 1/2 volt drop then I don't need to switch it out .

If anyone has good thoughts on this would help me tremendously

I should also note the battery manufacture says stay under 14.9 volts and I will be fine

The "standard" Rick's reg will allow voltages as high as 14.9 V, and his lithium specific reg limits the voltage to 13.8-14V. I'm not sure about your WPS battery and it's chemistry (Lithium Ion vs Lithium Iron), but the Lithium Iron (LiFePo) batteries I've used recommend 14.4 Volts. Higher voltages will reduce battery life, but Lithium Ion batteries can fail violently if over-charged. :o Oregon Motorcycle Parts makes an adjustable regulator.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Ya the battery I am using I contacted the manufacture and they said that If I keep the max voltage under 14.9 volts I should be just fine
