So I finally got this 78 cb750k project running. How crucial is the air box and exhaust for just sitting idling and the quick rev? With no exhaust or air box I can get it to run (sometimes fine, sometimes I have to put fuel in carbs) and I can make it rev with the choke fully on (but it rev hangs pretty steady) with choke off if you hit the throttle it dies. I put the airbox on but couldn’t get it to run for longer than a second or 2. Just doing test runs and haven’t gotten around to mounting all the exhaust up yet.
