Thanks for the help sorry for the confusion

I believe that's just used to prevent the pad from rotating. So any screw that fits will work.

Some pads have that screw included other not. I have reused from old pads to new.

Front caliper it’s on, the brake line it’s on also but not hooked up, waiting on the grommet that holds the line on the front fender.

Front brake it’s finally done all hooked up and functional. Now I got to work on the exhaust. I was hoping to buy a new system but can’t find a company that makes a 4-4 or at least for what I can afford, a lot of 4-1 and 4-2 on the market at a decent price but I really want to keep the stock look. So I’m going to keep the head pipes, clean them up and add some new cones see if I can make it work. The original set it’s super rusted but not the head pipes just the cones.

Really rotten exhaust!
Even used stock CB750 pipes cost unless you have luck.

Yamiya No numbers 4-4 (HM300) is otherwise a really good working setup with good flow that work with 836cc and more mods on K0-K6.
HM341 (K2-K6) is like plugging the HM300 with potatoes. Different carb jetting verify the flow difference.

A lower cost exhaust can be 4-1 from Delkevic.

Yeah those 4/4's look sweet but are a fly in the financial ointment of the CBs, for sure. I like having symmetry of at least one pipe on each side, and the chrome. I put some Mac 4/2 slip-ons on my '76 way back when, as the original 4/4's, while perfect from the top view but had what I realize now is probably fixable rust holes at the front lower area - d'oh! Well, that was nearly 30 years ago, the folly of youth and a $100 bike. I chucked them. I got a pair of Macs 4/2's again (pretty cheap at around $220 on clearance) because they look 'OK' and will do until I hit the lottery.

Your bike looks great and you are on the home stretch it seems, really inspiring. I got my '73 top end done yesterday with HD APE studs, all went well and soon will be in the frame.

Like you said in your post the 4-4 it’s way over my budget lol, only paid 150 for the entire bike I’m not about to spend over 1000 for a set of pipes. I ll give it my best to see if I can make the 4 new cones work, if not I may have to consider what you are doing.

Let the madness begin!! Got the head pipes cut and clean, clamps nice and clean, got 2 emgo cone with a few adapters. Let’s see how things come out. Only working on the left side to see if it works.

Antonio..... suggest you use silver or clear heat paint on those finned collars. In my experience, cleaning them really well just means they will corrode even faster.......

I got done mocking up the left side exhaust, still need to make some spacers at this point but I think it looks pretty good and close to the original one. I ll order the stuff to get the right side done hopefully I can match it and make it look symmetrical.

Antonio...... those pipes are looking good! I was checking out the Busso Silencer website today, and they make a 4-4 pipe kit that looks a lot like that (for way more $$$$). Nice work!

I looked into the Mac 4-2 they look nice. It’s my next opinion if this doesn’t work out the way I want

Had some time this morning so I decided to get the tank cleaned, install new petcock and cap gasket, and get her up on the bike full and ready. I think it came out pretty good for a old tank. I got her fire up for a little while to get things moving.
The left side pipes are finalized I ll be take them apart again and install them along with the right side once I have all the parts. While I wait for parts to come in I’m going to adjust the valves and Cham chain.
Still need to make some collars to install the rear foot pegs but I ll do that once I get the pipes on along with some heat shield. I guess no passenger for now lol.
I think I also need to adjust the clutch cable because when I pull it the lever touches the grip.
What else.... need to clean and install side cover.
She ll get one good polish once everything is in place
