72 K engine, 77K engine
« on: July 31, 2020, 01:22:15 PM »
I know the chains are different, and the carbs, seems like the redline on the 77 is 500 higher, anything else.
I have both bikes side by side, i am thinking about swapping the 77 to the 72, thanks.

77 has a 10mm offset at the output shaft, swing arm, rear sprocket carrier, and rear upper shock mount, a hotter cam for those extra 500 rpms, tranny gearing different. What did I miss?

Its actually a K6 in cherry condition except the engine is a K2. the K7 numbers seem to match, not sure if it worth restoring,
Are numbers matching bikes worth more ? My K2 engine is kinda of tired. thanks.

If you mean the frame and engine numbers are the same it very rarely happens and usually points to a ringer
