Decided to make a new fender bracket that was symmetrical.

Doesn’t the stock bracket have a curved section for the line?

Yes the original does.  It was removed.  The curved section is not needed since the forks are reversed and the calipers will be mounted behind them instead of in front.

That is a lot of screwing around..
In the future, try this. Bolt a piece of scrap plate to the other 2 brake mounts, put a block under that, clamp down.
Then check fortube with level,  shim it and clamp. .. you be making chips in 15 to 20 minutes. .
 Good job you did BTW..

That would work too but I really didn't make anything so it didn't take that long, it was all pieces of scrap except the part clamping the tube.   The clamp was made some time ago when I rebuilt the forks. I've made a bunch of them for rebuilding different forks.   The lower part at the axle is simply axle nut with a spacer and washer. All stuff lying around.

Final work,

I painted the fender bracket black.

Bled the brake with a mighyvac then a little regular just to make sure the air was gone.  Since all the stuff is new I used Dot 5.

The right side caliper would twist a little when applying pressure as the caliper is not centered over the disc correctly so I marked the pad with a magic marker and belt sanded a little bit of an angle to the pad.  This helped with the caliper twist.

Rode about 100 miles today and they seem to be breaking in nicely.
