Emulator results and Ikons.
« on: August 02, 2020, 09:18:26 PM »
Installed emulators here.

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php/topic,179599.msg2086353.html#msg2086353

The fork mods worked pretty well.  I got a set of Ikons and they also work real well. the 7610-1296.

They came with progressive springs which are a little stiff for my weight. They don't really bottom out. It took a pretty big bump to push the bump stop to the top of the shock shaft.   Anyone know what weight they are?

I set the rebound to 2 as 1 seemed a little light.

About Ikon
My CB759 K6 has Ikon shocks with progressive springs.
I have recently set them to highest setting (3)and softest damping (1).

I had them earlier at 2, 2.
Increased ride height due to pain in my hips and knees during heavy acceleration. I noticed that the setting was too low for me. Distance to foot pegs.
This is a very comfortable setting.

I tested the lowest setting before that and handling became too laid back. Higher setting has a better "attack" into the corners. Not too much harder with more pretension.

Well how much do you weigh?

You can still see some clearance between the bumper and the top of the shock.. Springs do look different beside color.

I'm not sitting on the bike when photo is taken. To show shock spring type.

190-200 lbs
Work fine with wife on too
+ ~130 lbs
Leathers, boots and helmets will add some more.

The ride height was the more important setting.

My K2 has Ikons too, but not progressive springs. It got this highest setting first.
My joints like it.

Edit:
Your photo show lowest spring setting.
That must feel very low and laid back handling, right?

BTW,  Check the sag and it was right at 29mm.  With the shock having about 95mm of travel, it's about right for me.
