Howdy from a Texas newby
« on: August 07, 2020, 09:26:31 AM »
Hi everyone,

Howdy from a newby from Houston, TX.  After a decade of bike-less life due to work pressures I'm interested in getting back into motorcycling.  My previous rides were cruisers (Honda Spirit and Harley Sportster) and a standard (Triumph Bonneville), and 2 stroke dirt bikes in my teen years.

With more time on my hands I'm looking at restoring a CB550 (the ideal result shown in my profile pic).  I look forward to interacting with the knowledgeable members of this forum.

Hi Stev-o, thanks.  No, I've seen a few good candidates in Austin and San Antonio (on Facebook Marketplace), but I am still "just browsing". We moved back to Houston recently, and now living in an apartment with no access to water, electricity, or work space in the parking garage.  So I'm in no real rush to buy a bike until I figure out the logistics of working on it in our apartment garage.
