You saw some good shows RX. Have you ever been to any shows there at the Red Rocks? I remember people in Wyoming telling me of concerts they saw there.

Red Rocks ROCKS!! Haven't been to as many as I'd like now that I am a (somewhat) responsible (old) dad of  a 9 year old. Saw Allman Bros back in Sept in the cold drizzle. It's a great venue.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

If I end up moving out that way,I have a good place to go see concerts (Like you...I have'nt been to a concert in years.) Almost got to see CCR in Casper,Wyo. a few years back but the ole lady "misplaced" the tickets. By the time she found them, it was too late to make the drive and get there in time. It was 120 miles away on a week night and I had to work the next day anyhow. Man....I was pretty pissed.

I went to see a little-known band called "AC-DC" in 1975, which I really enjoyed. 30 years later I really enjoyed a bluegrass band called "Hayseed Dixie" singing the same old songs, but arguably, better! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

AC-DC I think I may have heard of them, Aussie style country & western band weren't they ;)

I saw another one of your little Aussie bands once, who were reasonably good. They played a one off gig called SummerXS at a little backstreet venue in London called Wembley Stadium ;)

AC/DC... I grew up loving AC/DC.   One of my first concerts ever was to see AC/DC.  I think that I was 13 or 14 and they were playing at the Broome County Arena in N.Y.  I then saw them every tour after that in either Philly, or at the Meadowlands in N.J.

I saw Rush in concert several times also.  They sound excellent in concert.

Man, I saw that show in Louisville. It was my first time seeing Metallica and i was blown away by Cliff Burton. I had gone to see Ozzy, but halfway through his set I thought, "Hey, bring Metallica back on!" If Randy Rhoads had been there, it probably would've been a different story.

Stones - Freedom Hall - Louisville, KY
Drugman, they were here again in September. They played at Churchill Downs of all places. It poured down rain but they put on a good show from what I hear. Of course, you'd have to be sitting near the stage to see them as the stage was in the middle of the front stretch with seating going all the way up and down the stretch. Great for watching horse racing, but not a concert. I think the cheapest tickets were $120.00.  ::) I'm just not that big of a fan.

Ha ha, well they were really a little known band when I saw them Crispy, at that stage they hadn't had a chart hit, and were still very rough, Bon Scott was blind drunk, or stoned, or both, and they were playing in a little country pub, to probably 30 people. I went "AWOL" from boarding school (for my sins, I'd been expelled from my previous school) to go to this concert, and it was a while later before "Long Way to the Top" became a hit.

By contrast, "Hayseed Dixie" was a very professional outfit, and I watched in awe as the lead singer drank about 20 Aussie beers (arguably the most potent brew in the free world) as he sang all the AC-DC hits, which seemed to have no effect at all on his performance! Of course, he'd be at least twice the size of Bon, he was almost bigger than me, ha ha! Cheers, Terry. ;D
