750 Swingarm differences between years
« on: August 13, 2020, 09:58:06 AM »
I have four 750 swingarms in the garage.  One is a 77, one is a 73, one might be a 72 and the other year is unknown.  The 77, 73, and 72 swingarms all have the slots for the chain guard.  The unknown swingarm has a tab with welded nut and no slots.  I know there was a change somewhere in the early to mid 70s.  Anyone know when the tabbed swingarm was used?

69 and 70 has a bracket with a tube going across  it, near the shock mount.

Thanks! But it is not that early.  I'm thinking between 74 and 76 but don't know for sure.
I'll get a picture.

Thanks Frank for the assistance!  I think I have figured it out to be a 1974 swingarm.  I had searched all the parts fiches.  Which by the way all show the same diagram and the swingarm has the slots for the chain guard.  A Face Book member said it looked exactly like the one on his 74.  So I'll go with that bit of information.
