Felt washer on carb slide actuator pivot arm ? Lost one
« on: April 27, 2020, 06:30:11 PM »

Some how I lost one of the felt washers on the carb slide actuator lever are  they available or an alternative or make my own? Thought about. An O ring that is not too tight nor loose.
Thanks
Gary

Put an ad in the "wanted" section. Someone probably has one from a junk carb

The felt washers hold oil to lubricate. Get some punches and order a sample bag of SAE F-1 industrial felt and make your own or some one can chime in with alternatives

I recently replaced all 4 of my felt washers with some made from a gentleman who makes them from this site: www.dudesgarage.com/
They are a bit of a tight fit, so I just used a little bit of bearing grease on the inside of the felts to get things moving well.  also had to vacuum sync again - but let me tell you, my bike has never run so well and so tight.  I’m running a 550 with a cognito moto air box filter.  It idles like a kitten.
