Howdy from Texas!
« on: August 30, 2020, 02:50:38 PM »
Thanks for having me! I'm a Boy Scout Camp Ranger in Liberty Hill, TX.

I've been riding for more than 20 years and customizing/building bike for the last 6 or 7, and I now have my first SOHC Honda, a 1980 CB650.

Well, I guess it's not my first, I had an original Denvers Choppers CB750 for a bit, but I never did anything with it and ended up trading it for a Shovelhead, so this is the first one that I'm going to wrench and ride.

I can't leave well enough alone, so I'm going to build a scrambler out of it. I'll start a build thread here as soon as I've made enough posts to allow attachments. I do have a build thread over on hondacb650.com http://hondacb650.com/viewtopic.php?t=15088, but I'll also start one here. It's a cool bunch of guys over there, and there has been some good information, but this forum seems more active, so I thought I'd join here as well.

I also build custom chopper seats among other leather goods. You can see my work @rangerleather on Instagram.

Howdy.

I am going back to San Antonio in 2022.  I hope we all meet up then.
