how hard is it to chop as many bits off a bike and paint it all black.
I like to see bike that have been attacked by PO’s and put back to the way they came out of the factory.
........... café’s lovers who seem to admire some black paint and grinder work.
Only thing
BLACK on my CAFE that I painted
BLACK is the exhaust.....and the only thing I
Dremeled off was what was left of the seat hinges. I probally could have got a good grip on them with my fingers and twisted them off they were rusted so bad. In my opinion........I saved this classic bike from the Gomer PO that had let it sit outside in his yard for over a year. which brings up WJL75s post.......
A cafe on the street is better than a stock bike in a junkyard.
If my bike would have been close to being brought back to stock without alot of work, I would have probally restored it. But it was so far gone I figured Cafe was the way to go. I like stock bikes too but I built it to fit my budget. When I bought it I already had a bike....my 74 H1 500 Kaw Triple. It was a long way from being able to ride......the CB was closer. At least I didnt make a Godawful looking chopper out of it like the PO of my Kaw did..........
Look at this piece of work
Before.......when I rescued it
Where it is now......
and no Im not Cafeing it.......those bars are on my 750. The Kaw is going back stock.
To each his own I guess
Makes no difference to me if I win or not. I like Keiths bike and I like mine........wouldnt hesitate a second to get on either one and go for a cruise. Both will turn heads. I know mine does
If the green doesnt get them the bark of the Kerker will
