Cycle World Fork Fixes Article - July/August 1976
« on: February 16, 2007, 03:17:16 PM »
I've been trying to get this down to a manageable size, but can't seem to get it much smaller than 2 MB, and still be able to get a decent print off of it.  I guess part of the problem is that some of the writing on the diagrams is so small.  Another part of the problem is that I don't know what I'm doing, really.  (I mean, I can get it pretty small, but then it's hard to read.)

So whatever - if you want me to email it to you as a pdf attachment, send me an email directly (to which I can just hit "reply") and I'll be happy to attach it to your email, and send it back to you.

The article covers all years of the 400F and the 750 from 1969 to 1973 inclusive.  (I guess Honda made a change in the 750 forks after '73??)

And if this isn't the place for this, let me know and I'll move it.

Just for fun, I'll keep track of how many copies I send out:

Is it anything like this? I got this from SohcCBs.com, but I don't know where it's from.
Hope this helps,  Bill :) ;)

It's not Bill, but I like this article too!  I have an old set of forks for my bike, and I think this will help.

No, the article from Cycle World I'm emailing to those who ask is more of a modification type deal; I think they mean "Fixes" more in that way than in the literal sense of fixing something.  I guess they imply that the stock, brand new forks need "fixing".

I'll try and attach a lo-res image of the first page, so you can get a better idea ....

Well, that's the ticket!  Thanks a bunch!  That should work well for most folks.
