Which pads go where??? 75 CB550
« on: September 05, 2020, 04:46:25 PM »
So I’m installing  a brand new brake system and I’m not sure if it was correctly installed when I took it apart. Which style pad goes into which caliper half? Do these require any grease for squeaking??

The tiny hole on the red one is a clue. It is for a cotter pin that helps hold the pad in place. You can see a matching hole on the wheel side half of the caliper.

A technical manual for the bike is a big help with such things.

Use dielectric grease to help prevent squeaking.
