Any suggestions / recommendations for any companies or individuals that could complete a valve job on a cb550 head, hoping for a quick turn around.

Seen the following head rebuild service on Ebay:

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

That ebay service sounds pretty good, you should be our guinea pig! I would request having the entire head blasted so it will be ready for paint once returned.

Mike R could def do it, but highly doubt in a week.
