350/4 question about the side covers
« on: September 10, 2020, 07:47:46 PM »
So I'm working on a set of the 350/4 side covers.
casting has come out good on the first try.
at the bottom where that screw lock mechanism goes into the hole I had some over fill of the aluminum.

Since I am not going to get a 350 frame to check this out my questions are:
does the circle area of the bottom tab slide into something circular on the frame or does the frame just bump up to the inside of the circle tab? do I have to remove the over fill of these bottom tabs or can I leave it be?

thanks in advance

That looks great! And they will work just fine.

On the back side of the locking mechanism the bolt protrudes about 1-1/4 - 1-1/2" with a spring, so they don't actually fit snugly into anything on the frame.
