Will these CB900 pipes fit onto my 78 CB750F?

Hi,

I spotted these on Craigslist in Boston and emailed the guy  ------->  http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/mcy/277097216.html

I asked him if they would fit a 750 as he has 750 listed in his ad.

His response to me was:

These exhaust should fit your 750.  I believe all the 750 and 900 exhaust were the same size.  I've had two CB900 Customs that were sporting CB750 exhaust systems.  I will measure them up tomorrow for you.

Does any one on here have any thoughts?   I would imagine that if they do fit I would need to adjust the carbs some...

 They won't work. The 900 is a dohc. The 750 he is referring to is also a dohc.
