XDA series race in Maryland this weekend.
« on: September 18, 2020, 05:39:09 AM »
We'll be pulling out soon to go to this weekend's XDA race at Budds Creek Maryland. I'll be attempting to make some rounds in street ET on the 750F. I'll also be making an attempt to qualify my Kaw in top sportsman and will enter my small tire dragbike in the 1/8th mile,  5.60 index class. I'mgoinginto this race with lots optimism.

We arrived around 6pm after having a blow out on the trailer. We  installed the tire and then set off to find a replacement before going on to the track. Fortunately there was an Agri Supply not far away so we snagged one just in case. I paid registration fees for 3 classes and was able to get teched in before first round qualifying for the 4.60 index class. My friend Curtis entered the class and we've been working with him as pit crew and mechanic. He had a starting line glitch when the bike uncharacteristically pulled him through the beams. I'm certain its an air gap issue with the slider clutch.  We'll pull it before the 2nd qualifier and see whats going on.

I'm going out first thing in the morning for the initial time run in top sportsman.  Hopefully I can put up a good number in order to qualify for the 32 bike field.  Next out will be street ET on the Honda, followed by the 1st session for the 5.60 index class. The only classes I'll be competing in for eliminations tomorrow will be street ET.

I'll try to update tomorrow evening.

Well,  i won 1st round yesterday on a double breakout pass. And then they canceled the rest of the ET eliminations and split the purse. I got a check.bIt was a whole wad- $20. Lol. Back at it this morning for the 2nd race. Hopefully I can get some winning  rounds in.

Unfortunately I lost first round Sunday morning to a 13 second Harley.  I red lighted. I did win 3 rounds in the 5.60 index class but lost the next round due to a slower reaction time.
