Tire Size
« on: February 17, 2007, 12:27:00 PM »
You know, I have a Clymer manual, but I don't like it too much.

Will a 130/90x16 fit a stock rim on CB400F?

I am thinking the largest I can go is 110/90.

As always, thanks

So, My question should be, what is the widest tire I can run on the front, w/o changing the forks.

The general rule of thumb is that you can go 1 size up in width ie from 100/90 to a 110/90.
Anything wider than that you are pinching the wider tire onto a rim it is not designed for thus ending up actually having less of a contact patch on the road than with the stock size.
Unless you can find a wider rim to respoke onto your hub.

Thx,

I think I plan on staying with the stock width.  I was window shopping the aisles at ebay.
