Mystery CB750K Part
« on: September 26, 2020, 04:03:17 PM »
I found this spring lurking in my CB750K5 parts bin today. I keep everything in labeled Ziploc bags just to prevent stuff like this from happening, but it happened anyway. Does anybody have any idea what this thing is? It measures 21 mm tall and 28 mm in diameter.

That spring goes under the oil filter, before you slide it down over the retaining bolt (in the housing). If you look at a parts drawing, you will also see a washer that goes between the filter and spring. It’s almost always missing. It sticks in oil, to the  filter end and usually gets tossed in the garbage...,,..

Thanks! I'm not sure how it got left out of the other oil filter parts.
