I am still 100% a kid, and Lego is awesome!
« on: September 03, 2020, 04:31:42 PM »
I recently turned 45, and I'm lucky enough that both of my parents and my wife's parents are still around, and they still send me checks for my birthday.  Not a lot, but it's sweet, and it's very much appreciated.  I always try to put it towards something I want but don't need, because that's how they intend it.

This year I knocked that #$%* out of the park!  I owned, drove, worked on, and occasionally lived in a '74 VW Bus for most of my 20s.  It was the first place my wife and I lived together in 20 years ago.  Mine was never anywhere near this tricked out, but the memories it brings back are worth far more than the cost.

It's probably going to live in the garage because that's where I live most of the time.  ;D

My Grandson wanted a rocket ship for christmas I almost bought him an ebay Lego Saturn V, until I missed the bid on 3 in a row and saw how many parts are in it. And suggested for age 14 and up. He's 4.

Go ahead and get one, just save it for a few more years!  ;D ;D

This VW Lego kit is suggested for 16+, and after putting it together I can see why.

We cleaned out a closet and it appears I have lego's too! My grandkids wanted to open it but I think they already have one. So no.
